He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Roberts and Betty Jo Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Connie H. Roberts; his children, D. J. Roberts, Jr. (Julianna), Tonya Massie, Bobby Conway (Ranee), Crystal Reyes, Yolanda Morgan and Robin Nichols (Matthew); his sister Regina Roberts; his friends, John Trapp and Logan Williford; and his pet Rufus. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
