He is survived by: his wife Diana Bowman Holmes; his children, William Randall Holmes, Jr., Sherry Lynn Shuffleberger, Lori Copeland, Samantha Holmes and Christopher Holmes; his siblings, Kenneth Holmes (Ellen) and Theresa Crouch (Tim); and his grandson Jerry Dale Copeland, III.
