He was predeceased by: his parents, William Francis and Ruthie Houston McLaughlin. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ruth McLaughlin; his daughter Melissa Anne McLaughlin Tittle (Patrick); his stepdaughter Jennifer Wells; his brothers, Victor Shaw Skalak (Christy) and Myer Shaw Skalak (Trish); and his cousins, Virginia Claussen Bush (Don) and George Fredrick Claussen (Karen).
