It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Will Lena Johnson (Augusta, Georgia), born in Lincolnton, Georgia, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Cox and Mattie Cox; her sister Mildred Mogannam; and her son-in-law Al Dempsey. She is survived by: her husband David Johnson; her daughters, Cindye Johnson Dempsey, Sandra Johnson Blitchington (Billy), Sharon Johnson Wilder (Russell) and Susan Johnson Bennett (David); her grandchildren, Galen Mercer, Katie Mercer (Megan), Lena Blitchington, Sarah Murray (Michael) and Madison Bennett; her great grandchildren, Cypress Mercer and Wilder Murray; and her sisters, Barbara Andrews (Eddie Lee) and Bonnie Logan (Greg).
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
