He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Whitehead and Ida Mae Whitehead; his grandmother Pearline Hawkins; and his brothers, Clarence L. Whitehead, Clyde Jones and John W. Whitehead, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Reginald M. Whitehead (Diane), Shayla M. Whitehead and Robert L. Whitehead, Jr. (Michaela); his grandchildren, Tamara, Tionne, Tavian, Patience and Robert L. Whitehead III; his siblings, Mary A. McKie (Charles), Leroy Whitehead, Nathaniel Whitehead, Ralph Whitehead (Sharon) and Patricia A. Gutierrez; and his nephews, Clyde Butler and Latron Smith.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the C. A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home (314 Laney Walker Blvd A, Augusta, GA 30901). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the Walker Memorial Park (620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901).
