He was predeceased by: his parents, Baxter Gordon Mills and Helen Byrd Mills; and his brother John Gordon Mills. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hall Mills; his children, Kimberly Mills Womack (Jay) and Michael McKneely (Haley); his grandchildren, Emma Lee Womack Pulley (Jimmy), Jack Womack (Laurel), Zoey Hinkle and Sofie Hinkle; his brother James Eric Mills; and his pets, Rosie, Sam and Oreo Speedwagon.

Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church, for Chris and Christa Dickert, and their son, Cooper, who has been in the NICU for the 9 months since birth.
