He is survived by: his girlfriend Phoenica Johnson; his children, Ranita Gowdy, Rene Gowdy, Teaco Gowdy (Kimberly) and Desmond Gowdy (Savanna); his siblings, Franklin D. Dunn, Doretha A. Gowdy and Yvette D. Cordy (Kenneth); his aunts and uncles, Hardin Dunn, David Gowdy (Ruth), Mary Holmes, Annie Tigler, Marie Bennett and Mamie O'Bryant (Alfred); and his former wife Margarita Gowdy. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Williams Funeral Home Memorial Chapel (1765 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901).
