He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Emerson Breshears II and Ann Spivey (Satcher); his brothers, James Weldon "Jimmy" Adams and Julian "Monty" Adams; and his sister-in-law Beth Breshears (Ramage).
He is survived by: his siblings, Scott Breshears (Beth) and Shannon Ingram; his children, Ralph Emerson Breshears IV and Amy Ann Breshears; and his grandchildren, Timothy G. Breshears, Tristan G. Hughes, Lily A. Holmes and Leona A. Breshears. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
