He is survived by: his wife Loveta Miller Schweers; his siblings, Anne Schweers Proctor of Augusta and John Bernard Schweers, III (Denise) of Cincinnati, Ohio.; his children, Kathie Schweers Strauss (Larry) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Patricia Schweers (Trish) of Baltimore, Sheila Schweers Parnell (Earl) of Florence, Lorrie Adams Budinger (Jason) of Mesa, Matthew Schweers (Grace) of Chesapeake and Mark Ryan Adams of Salisbury, Maryland.; and his grandchildren, Adina Strauss Gadell (Tim) of Virginia Beach, Mary Schweers of Wilmington, Megan Schweers Lettieri (Jarrett) of Fayetteville, Stefan Schweers of Phoenix and Sean Schweers.
