She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Jefferson Connell Jr.; her parents, Miles Kearse and Irene Kearse; and her sister Jacirene Kearse Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Jefferson Connell of Augusta, Cheryl Denise New of Fort Myers, Debra Connell Sneeder of Tignall and Miriam Diane Newman of Augusta; and also Jackson "Bootsie" Kearse of Tignall. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
