She was predeceased by: her parents, William Archie Johnston and Lula Mae Hagler Johnston; her husbands, Hubert Edmund Ritchie Jr. and Bobby Wilson Flenniken; her daughter Gertrude Elizabeth "Trudy" Hammett; and her siblings, Cletus Colin Johnston, Bleeka Vivian Dennis Hubbell and Geurald Wallace Johnston.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Ruth Martin (Dallas) of Beech Island, SC, Hubert Edmund "Eddie" Ritchie III of Fayetteville, NC, Mary Bleeka "Bee Bee" Warner of North Augusta, SC and Margaret Lynn Jackson of Augusta, GA; and her grandchildren, Jason Martin (Wendy), Ceilia Owens (Russell), Wayne Hammett (Krista), Coni Wilson, Brittany Murray (Edward), Beth Collier (Jim), Mary Meffert (Patrick), Joshua Warner (Julie), Jennifer Johnson (Brett), Amber Jackson, Reginald Jackson Jr. and Christa Jackson. She is also survived by 36 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild along with numerous nieces and nephews.
