The memory of Kathryn Carter (Augusta, Georgia), who passed away on November 1, 2024 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Poe and Marguerite Bryson Trapnell; her husband Lawrence McNiell Carter; and her siblings, Edgar Trapnell, Virginia Murray (Teet) and Bryson Trapnell.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Carter Vernon (Mike), Larry Carter (Mary), Ginger Carter Trulock (Woody) and Kristen Carter Beckham (Bill); and her grandchildren, David (Marlo), Julia, Sarah Vernon, Niell (Jenn), Stuart (McKenzie), Patrick (Katie), Stephen Carter, Ross (Britt), Bryson Trulock, Markie Beckham Rooyakkers (Steven), Carter, Dalton Beckham (Megan) and Kallie Beckham Manley (Jake). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity (720 Telfair St, Augusta, GA 30901).
