He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Clinton Maddox and Ophelia Virginia Beasley; and his son Victor J. Maddox. He is survived by: his children, Timothy D. Maddox, Jennifer J. Tanner and Sara M. Gerlinger (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Katelyn Folger (Craig), Jonathan Maddox (Leah), James Maddox, Jacob Langley, Christopher Garcia, Amanda Maddox, John C. Maddox, Danielle Gerlinger and Ash Gerlinger; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy Sanders, Vincent Maddox, Abigail Maddox, Sutter Folger and Sawyer Folger.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors (2502 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Harlem Cemetery.
