It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoeAnne Beard Moore (Augusta, Georgia), born in Bluffton, Georgia, who passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy W. Beard and Hattie Jones Beard; her husband Harold E. Moore; and her brothers, Roy "Buddy" Beard, Carlton Moore (Mildred) and Leon Moore (Charlene).
She is survived by: her daughters, Rosalind Moore Gatian (Doug) of Americus and Harriet Kay (Franky Rachels) of Lincolnton; her brother Dr. Charles Beard (Valerie) of Athens; her granddaughters, Rachel Gatian McSwain (Hobson) of Americus, Roxanne M. Gatian of Americus and Savannah Rachels of Augusta; her great grandchildren, Autumn McSwain, Zelda McSwain and Caroline Joanne Custer; and her caregivers, Verna Thomas, Liz Hodges and Donna Moales. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to be made to First Methodist Church Choir and the Sumter Humane Society.
