He was predeceased by: his parents, Linnie Rose Bond (John) and Thomas Rawls (Mary Ellen); and his brothers, Willie Roy Bond, Robert Earl Bond and Donnie Bond.
He is survived by: his son Mark Simpson; his siblings, Donald Bond, Thomas Rawls Jr., Geo Rawls (Elethia), Annie Harrell, Shirley Bond, Sandra Rawls-Chapple, Lydia Rawls, Deborah Rawls and Doris Jones; and his close friend Karl Cain. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
