With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Rodney Schafner of Augusta, Georgia, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on October 6, 2022 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father James Schafner; his daughter Jennifer Allison Schafner; and his sister Marie Rosetta. He is survived by: his caregiver Luanne Schafner; his sons, Caleb John Schafner and Jonah Robert Schafner; and his pet Tuck.
