He is survived by: his wife Paula Hyams Dukes; his children, Dorothy Sanford Sprecher (Don), John "Cal" Hardin Forrester, Debra Kay Dukes, Karen Sylvia McWhorter (David) and Ashley Dukes (Amber Perry); his grandchildren, Lindsay Anne Sprecher, Christopher David Sprecher (Elizabeth), Lauren Dukes Cobzaru (Vlad), Tyce Dukes, Ella Perry and Jack Perry; his stepchildren, Billy Jackson (Robin) and Beth Rogers (Mike); his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Rachels (Eric), Brooke McLeod (Thomas), Micah Hamilton (Todd) and Colton Rogers (Jodi); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Will Rachels, James Rachels, Jackson McLeod, Sidney McLeod, Makenna Hamiton and Anna Hamilton; and his sister-in-law Christine Deas Dukes.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery.
