He was predeceased by: his mother Sophia Bennett; and his brother Roland Bennett. He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Hannah, Mary Wilson, Ethel McEntire and Clyde Bennett; his children, Travonda Bennett, Crystal Bennett Harris and Rickey Blue; his former wife Janie Howard; his aunt Rosa Lott; and his sisters, Brenda Watson Elaine'Moses'Smalley, Wilhelmina'Michael'Clayborn (Johnny Howard), Willie'Christine'Howard (Albert Howard) and Mrs Robert Lee Howard. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and a goddaughter, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
