It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freddie B Richardson of Augusta, Georgia, born in Guntown, Mississippi, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Jones Young and Willie B. Copeland; his adoptive parents, Roy Richardson and Mary Lee Richardson; and his siblings, Sylvia Copeland, Willie Vance Copeland, Robert Louis Copeland, Robert Yarbrough Sr., Larry Young and Michael Ray Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bell Richardson; his children, Sylvia Richardson and Roderick Richardson; his stepdaughter Carla Walker; his grandchildren, Janayia, Olivia Jefferies and Tyler Jefferies; his siblings, Shirley Cruise, Wilma Clifton Young (Johnnie), Joyce Gambrel, Barbara Jones, Brigette Jones, Rickey Jones, Brenton Copeland and Teresa Norwood (Alex); and his siblings-in-law, Raymond Collier and Gloria Copeland.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
