She was predeceased by: her mother Daisy Mae Allen; her grandmother Winnie Robinson; and her brothers, Johnny Byrd and Cecil Byrd. She is survived by: her daughter Deidres "Dee Dee" Higgins (Dexter) of Grovetown, GA; her siblings, Mary "Sally" Montague (James), Geraldine Byrd (Nicholas), Jerridean Byrd Lee, Deborah Byrd McIntyre, Ocie Ruth Byrd, Marguerite Byrd of Homestead, FL and Carl Byrd of Homestead, FL; her godson Rodney Wright (Toya) of Covington, GA; and her sister Joyce Bowdre. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
