He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Brantley Verdery and Louise Ford Verdery; and his brothers, Albert Brantley Verdery and Charles Stewart Verdery. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jameson Verdery; his children, Rieves Ford Verdery Jr. (Robin Lynn) of Lewes, Delaware and Whitney Verdery Page (Magruder) of Augusta; his sister Alison Price; and his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Page, Sarah Catherine Page and Rieves Ford Verdery III.
