With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Everett L. Gomillion (Augusta, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 92. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Everett leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Everett may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Gomillion and Lillian Fritz Gomillion; his daughter Patti Praetorious; his son-in-law Carl Baxley; and his grandson Wesley Baxley.

He is survived by: his wife Anne Powell Gomillion; and his daughters, Pam Baxley, Peggy Cheesborough (Mark) and Paige Bellardino. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and his two great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Alban's Episcopal Church (2321 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, GA 30906). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
