He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Byrd and Tillman Newsome. He is survived by: his sons, John Pope (Christina), Charles Pope (Jackie) and Anthony Pope, Sr. (Dana); his grandchildren, Jordan, Johnathan, Julia, Charles Jr., Anthony Jr. and Noah; his sisters, Teresa Howard (Tommy) and Lynne Broome (Jeff); his uncles, Lonnie and Lewis Carver; his nieces and nephews, Amanda McGuire (Josh), Alissa Bryson, Adison, Chloe, Brianna, Madalyn, Maylee, Mallory, Maci, Leayla, Liana, Lilia, Layla, Lexie, Jason Broome (Sara), Johnathan Broome (Kristina) and Jordan McGuire of David; and also Sonya Jo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Berean Baptist Church (2385 GA-88, Hephzibah, GA 30815).
