He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Darby; his son David Darby; and his parents, Sanford Darby and Annie Mae Cason Darby. He is survived by: his children, Carl Darby Jr. and Heather Darby Garren; his grandchildren, Alison Godley (Grayson), Katie Schantz (Evan), Robert Darby (Tori), Chandler Darby (Isabelle) and Mary Darby Garren; his great grandchildren, Charlie, Ben and Maya; and also, Paul Garren, Susan Darby and June Darby.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carl's honor and in memory of his son, David Darby, to the Golden Harvest Food Bank: 3310 Commerce Drive, Augusta, Georgia 30909.
