She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Mae Williams and Osmond Mason; her daughter Delores Johnson; and her siblings, James Mason, Edna Milledge, Mary Lee Childs and Bernard Williams.

She is survived by: her children, Gwendolyn Barefield, Valerie Law and Edward Gardner; and her siblings, Bernice McKie, Clarence Williams and Wilbert Mason. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
