With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benita C. McLeroy of Augusta, Georgia, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Benita find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her mother Doralee Goodman Agnew. She is survived by: her husband Ruben McLeroy; her daughter Penny Catherine (Ricky); her stepchildren, Bethany (Michael) and Benjamin (Jeneen); and her granddaughter Destinia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider donations to the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer's Center and Research Institute. In addition, if you would like to donate to your local animal shelter in memory of her life-long love for rescued animals, especially cocker spaniels.
