As we bid Arthur farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Arthur is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Butler; his children, Anita Gleaton (Eric), Elizabeth Porter (Jeff), Catherine (James), Markus Smith (Tonya), Ronald Houston and Jeffery Parker (Leslie); and his brothers, Jeremiah Butler, Kenneth Butler and Herman Murphey. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (2945 Old Tobacco Rd, Hephzibah, GA 30815). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (4340 Hammond Cir, Martinez, GA 30907).
