She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Pressley and Ida May Forster Pressley; her daughters, Carnell Hunter, Inez Sellers and Willie Nell Wyatt; her siblings, Joe, Paul Pressley, Clydie Mae Martin, Eunice Anderson and Irene Hicks; and her grandchildren, Bobby Martin, Bobby Smith, Kelly Futch and Mickey Futch.

She is survived by: her children, David Smallwood (Rose) of Loganville, Newton Smallwood of Auburn and Eddie May Martin of Winder. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
