He was predeceased by: his son Michael W. Dickerson; and his parents, Merideth Wesley Dickerson and Gladys Moyer Dickerson Gentry. He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Dickerson of Auburn; and his daughters, Penelope K. "Penni" Tench of Statham and Hollie Carson (Roman) of Los Angeles, California. He is also survived by granddogs and grandcats.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Richard Wilson Recovery Residence at P.O. Box 1321 Statham, Georgia 30666.
