She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fred and Ruby Watts Dempsey; and her brother Joe Dempsey. She is survived by: her sons, Jim Waller of Waynesboro, Jeff Waller of Pansey, AL and John Waller (Jeri Hudgins) of Tucker; her grandchildren, Christa Waller, Alex Waller, Sarah Waller-Price and Emily Waller; her great grandchildren, Marleigh, Reese Waller, John and Kimi Smith; and her pet Smokey.
