She was predeceased by: her former husband Albert Allen "Buddy" Gabriel, Jr.; her husband James Earl Middlebrooks; her parents, Cecil Benefield of Winder and Willie Lou Martin of Carnesville; and her brothers, Michael Benefield of Carnesville and Billy Benefield of Carnesville.
She is survived by: her children, Bel Outwater (Jeremiah) of Auburn, Dr. Steve Gabriel of Auburn, Amy Moore of Snellville, Sandy Mallory of Maysville and Amanda Blackwell (Jerry) of Monroe; and her siblings, Terry Benefield (Vickie) of Carnesville, David Benefield of Carnesville, Linda Mayfield (Larry) of Pendergrass, Yvonne Crist of Bethlehem, Thomas Benefield of Pendergrass, Randolph Benefield of Carnesville, Michelle Arthur of Bethlehem and Dana Wilson of Carnesville. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, eleven nieces and nephews, along with a host of extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Maddox-Carter Memorial (265 GA Hwy 211, Winder, GA 30680).
