He is survived by: his mother Flossie Bynum Maxwell; his children, Angel, Matthew Leggett of Alabama, Kevin, Jennifer Maxwell of Climax, GA and James Maxwell of Bainbridge; and his grandchildren, Katelyn, Payten, Kyle, Annalisa, Alaina, Savannah, Malia and AJ. He is also survived by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
