He is survived by: his children, Courtney Mitchell-Day and Willie Mitchell Jr.; his adoptive sons, Morris Blige and Lionel Cross; his children-in-law, Ashbea Day and Jamila Mitchell; his grandchildren, Nehemiah Mitchell Day, Ashvae Alexander Day, Asher Elijah Day, Willie Mitchell III, Ariah Naomi Day, Aaliyah D. Jackson, Yanna M. Price and Taahj A. Price; and his brothers, Joseph Mitchell (Mary) of Savannah, Georgia, Alonzo Mitchell (Kate) of Atlanta and Benjamin Mitchell (Dana) of Richmond Hill, Georgia. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, colleagues and friends.
