William Sterne Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Sterne (Atlanta, Georgia), who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Sterne to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus H. "Billy" Sterne and Helen Hopkins Sterne; and his wife Jane Reynolds Sterne. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Carroll Sterne and Catherine Sterne Fleetwood (Thomas); his granddaughters, Caroline Fleetwood and Elizabeth Fleetwood; and his siblings, Carroll Sterne, Helen Anderson, Augusta Sterne and Nancy Bowden.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral Christ the King (2699 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305).
Billy served on the boards of the University of Georgia Foundation, the Lovett School, the Capital City Club and Peachtree Golf Club, where he served as President.
