William Rhodes Obituary

We bid farewell to William Rhodes in Atlanta, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 14, 2024 at the age of 98. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Melvin Rhodes and Mattie Lee Thrasher Rhodes; and his wife Fay Ball Rhodes. He is survived by: his siblings, Anne Rhodes Dishner, Mary Virginia Rhodes Gormley, Travis Melvin Rhodes, Frank Gerald Rhodes and C. J. Rhodes (Charlie); his children, William Clinton "Clint" Rhodes, Ivy Rhodes Darnall (Klaus), Kathy Rhodes Davis (Bob) and Rebecca "Becca" Rhodes Hayes (Ashton); and his grandchildren, Clinton Hall Rhodes, Elizabeth Weck Darnall, Taylor Rhodes Polky (Sylvanus), Whitney Davis Arnall (Justin) of Mary Chandler, Kelsey Davis Hanna (Will), William Parker Rhodes (Christie), William James Hayes and Zachary George Hayes. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

He also served on the Board of Directors of Books for the World, Yazoo City, MS, Macedonian Call Foundation, Boys' High Alumni Association, and King's Bridge Retirement Center.
