Vernico Locklin Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vernico Locklin Sr. (Atlanta, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2024 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Irelious Gusta Locklin Sr.; and his brother Irelious Gusta Locklin Jr. (Gus Ching). He is survived by: his close friend Nancy J. Ojeda; his son Vernico Locklin Jr.; his grandchildren, Marquavious Maki Dukes, Nico Jamaul Locklin, Karter Dewayne Locklin and Zayden Deonta Locklin; his siblings, Priscilla Ann De'Monteiro (Peter), Brenda Renee Johnson, Anthony Locklin Sr. (Sharon), Sylvia Sparkles Bookhart (Bernard), Brence Locklin Sr. (Latresia) and Cosell Locklin; and also Mary L. Locklin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Herschel Thornton Mortuary (3346 M. L. K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30331). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
