He is survived by: his wife Louise Howard Lockhart; his children, Verdree Lockhart, II of Atlanta, Fernandez Lockhart (Anita) of Mesa Arizona and Vera L. Cargile of Roanoke; his sister Bernice Lewis (Rufus) of Augusta; his grandsons, Xavier Cargile, Sr. of Roanoke and Chandler Hayden (Kelly) of Roanoke; and his great grandchildren, Keenan Hayden, Kendrick, Hayden, Xavier Cargile, II of Roanoke and Virginia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
