He is survived by: his wife Patricia Twohy Sharpley; his daughters, Sarah Pierpont Sharpley Ewing (Toulmin Hunter Ewing III) and Elizabeth Merrick Sharpley; his sister Pamela Sharpley Angell; his brothers, Wallace Pierpont Sharpley and Trosdal; and also Frazier Lippitt Angell (Emelie Louise McKain).
