He was predeceased by: his parents, John Whelchel and Effie Whelchel; and his siblings, Johnny and Mary Frances. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Louise Alexander (Ginnie); his daughter Sharon Elizabeth Moye; his former spouse Mike Moye; his son-in-law Mike; his grandchildren, Rachel, Bekah, Michael, Chase Parks and Josh Davis (Elizabeth Yontz); and his great grandchildren, Penelope, Eleanora, Jonah, Isaiah, Raley James and Remi Joy.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brookhaven Presbyterian Church (1294 N Druid Hills Rd, Brookhaven, GA 30319).
In lieu of flowers, to honor Ted's love for music, please give to Brookhaven Presbyterian Church, with designation to the music department.
