She was predeceased by: her parents, Verta Ruth Carte and Jack Artinger; and her grandparents, Thrush'Flick' and Fannie Mae Carte. She is survived by: her uncle Garrett T. Carte Sr. of Belle; and her cousins, Garrett T. Carte Jr. of Hurricane and Michael Carte of Charleston.
