It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Howard Kays (Atlanta, Georgia), born in Statesboro, Georgia, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Lee Simmons Howard and Ralph Emory Howard, Sr.; her brother Phillip; and her former husband Marion Reed Kays, III (Chip). She is survived by: her sons, Tad (Betsy) and Matt (Temperance); her grandchildren, Reed and Bo; her brother Ralph (Bonnie); her sister-in-law Patricia Cassedy; and her nieces and nephews, Pam Whitaker, Patti Kelly, Paul Howard and Kevin Howard. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews and a wonderful group of best friends.
