He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis O'Brien and Delores Ruth O'Brien (Zeits); and his brother Michael O'Brien. He is survived by: his husband Micheal Alan Smith; his in-laws, Mark and Angie Smith; his siblings, John O'Brien (Jane), Patrick O'Brien (Ginny) and Denise Scicluna (Ronnie); and his aunt Lois Russell.
