It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sharon Louise Harbin Friedlander of Atlanta, Georgia, born in Westminster, South Carolina, who passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Harbin King and James (Dorothy Louise Harbin Marcengill); her brother Gene King; and her granddaughter Madison Friedlander. She is survived by: her children, Beverly Friedlander Ostrowski (Martha Starnes) and Jeff Friedlander (Sherri Milks) of Calera, AL; her grandchildren, Justin Ostrowski (Deepi Koganti) of Atlanta, Megan Ndongi (Kevin) of Marietta, GA, Morgan Blanks (Gabriel) of Boston, MA, Benjamin Friedlander, Amanda Friedlander and Rachel Friedlander; her great grandchildren, Hazel, Jalen Ndongi, Chai, Judah, Kefira Friedlander, Moshe and Shlomo Blanks; her siblings, Roger Marcengill (Gail), Jimmy King (Dale) and Linda Robinson (Tony); her sister-in-law Barbara King; and her children, Tara, Luke and Gabe. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sandifer Funeral Home (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the Retreat Presbyterian Church.
Flowers are optional, per Sally, who stated she preferred donations to Hospice, The William Day DAR in Duluth, GA for the work they do for our service men and women and our veterans, and The Tamassee DAR school in Salem, SC.
