It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Fulton Pickens of Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Pickens and Lucile Still Pickens; his wife Darien Doughty George; his sister Jeanette Drake; and his son Charles R. Pickens.

He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Foster (Ed) of Winston-Salem, NC and Linda Cobb (Ty) of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Edward Foster of Lewisville, NC, Robert Foster of Raleigh, NC and Rebecca Cobb of Greenville, SC; his nephew Lee Drake of Kenner; and his cousin Suzanne Laseter of Franklin, NC.
