He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virgil Lee and Nellie Bea Mims; his siblings, Virgil Lee, Jr., Glover, Charles Mims, Jessie Wells and Mildred Thomas; his children, Prentice Mims (Sonji), Penny Mims, Kimberley Mims, Nicole Green, Noel Green and Crystal Green; his sisters, Madeline "Shirley" Mims and Sadie Whitmore (Curtis); his grandchildren, Philantria Mims, Jimmy White, Phylesia White, Kyler Ingram, Roman Green, NinaRose Mims, LauraGrace "Nicole" Mims, Guidance Green and Ryan Green; and his great grandchild Andrew Parrish Jr.. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends.
