It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Oscar McElhaney of Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Oscar may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Oscar touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his children, Sharyn McElhaney, Anthony McElhaney and Deirdre McElhaney; and his sisters, Belinda Hill (William) and Diane Head Roberts. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Olive Baptist Church (1565 Hwy 92, Fayetteville, GA 30214).
