It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Merle Wayne Coon in Atlanta, Georgia, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Coon and Edith Coon; his siblings, Jimmy, Mary Ann, Nancy and David; and his stepdaughter Paulanna.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carryer; his brother John Coon (Anita); his children, Denise Foerter (Steven Foerter) and Brian (Angela); his stepson Haddon Carryer (Damita); his grandchildren, Erik Coon (Bethany), Jason Coon, James Millhollin, Alissa Carryer, William Millhollin and Megan Carryer; and his great grandchildren, Philippa and Gideon Coon.
