It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Thomas in Atlanta, Georgia, born in LaFayette, Alabama, who passed away on December 5, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Blanche Morgan Thomas; her daughter Connie Mae Thomas; and her brothers, Eugene Thomas, Raymond Thomas, Ruben Thomas, Robert Thomas and George Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Thomas, Jeffrey Thomas, Ronnie Thomas, Marilyn Henderson (Willie) and Vivian Bailey; her siblings, Gertrude Thomas, Hattie Boddie, Annie Thomas, Willie Thomas, Linda Trammell and Shirley Heard (Charles); and her grandchildren, Ashton Thomas and Iyana Joseph. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews, and her loving friends.
