He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bowen Baxter and Justice Harold Baxter; and his spouse Sheridan Putman Baxter. He is survived by: his children, Laura Baxter Landrum (Joe), Justice Bowen Baxter, Jr. (Pam), Charles Putman Baxter (late Cheryl) and James Edwards Baxter (Lisa). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
