We bid farewell to June Wilkerson Ferguson (Atlanta, Georgia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 18, 2024 at the age of 90. June Wilkerson touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the sacred silence of farewell, June Wilkerson is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that June Wilkerson's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Henry Monfort and Rubye Carroll Monfort; her husband Cullen Christie Wilkerson; her sister Carolyn Bernard Becker; and her former husband Palmer LeRoy Ferguson.
She is survived by: her son Cullen Christie Wilkerson, Jr. (Susan Payor Wilkerson); her grandsons, David Cullen Wilkerson and Patrick Lewis Wilkerson; and her sisters, Patricia Hines and Willene Bush. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Westview Cemetery (1680 Westview Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30310).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the LaGrange College Fund, 601 Broad Street, LaGrange, GA 30240 in June's memory, or to Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in June's memory.
